he best male bodybuilders in the college will compete for the title of "Mr. Baruch Bodybuilding" on Thursday, November 17, in Sigma Alpha Delta's second annual Mr. Baruch Bodybuilding Competition. The event takes place during club hours.

Scott Anderson, personal trainer and Mr. Garden State 2005, led the first of three workshops to help train the bodybuilders for the big show. So far, 12 men have entered the competition and have began preparation.

Max May, president of Sigma Alpha Delta Honor Society, said, "Our ambition is to make this like Mr. Olympia: grandiose, popular and well attended."

The organizers of this year's show are Elman Isakov and Andrew Terentyev, officers of the honor society. Their goal is to create a unique, enriching event for all Baruch students and faculty. In addition, they want the competitors to have a rewarding experience.

Many of the participants expressed their confidence and excitement regarding the upcoming show.

Dominic Commisso expects to win his weight collection in the overall. Reginald Gorchon has been working out for three years. Though this is his first time in competition, he feels he will win because of the unique aspects of this body. "I'm more symmetrical than any one else. Bodybuilding is additive."

Second time competitor Jason Prager believes that there's a lot of good competition this time. "It's any one's game."

The bodybuilding competition will offer a number of prizes, including a trophy for the Best Stage Presence of an Athlete, to be chosen by the audience, and Sectional Prizes for individual body parts.

The competition is still open to competitors. The show is free for students and faculty and will be held in the Multi-Purpose room.
