The offi ces in the Annex Building will be moved to another location near campus.

Following a decision made by the CUNY Board of Trustees, the Annex Building on 25th Street will be vacated and moved to another location.

The Annex, which is occupied by Baruch on five floors, is rented by CUNY. According to Lloyd, representatives from CUNY planned to set a price for rent before the lease expired. However, the landlord was not willing to compromise.

Following the disagreement, CUNY sought to find another place for the offices in the building.

According to Jim Lloyd, assistant vice president of campus operations, CUNY worked with a real estate agent to find another location, which was conveniently closer to the campus.

The annex will relocate to 104 East 25 Street between Lexington and Park Avenue.

Lloyd also stated that there may be other changes for the new location, but Campus Operations is working on the matter and will develop a plan shortly.

The college was informed last week from the CUNY's real estate office about the change in building setting, and the administration was informed of the decision at a faculty senate meeting.

Lloyd reported that the lease would be up on March 31 of next year, and the administration within the building will have to evacuate by April 1.

"Nobody likes to move, and we have some people who have 30 years of stuff to move out," said Lloyd.
