ML: I like writing about science and technology. I wanted to study medicine before I ended up double majoring in Film and Psychology. Writing is an outlet where I get to dive into more academic topics. I was recently given my own blog on Psychology Today which I'm really psyched about, no pun intended.
SK: Politically speaking, where do you think the U.S. stands right now?
ML: We need to make the right choice this year!
SK: Do you feel that the college community will once again rise to the occasion during election season? Or has that fervor disappeared and why or why not?
ML: I hope so! You can't put the genie back in the bottle. College students are awesome and are well aware of the stakes. They will totally rise!
Max Lugavere will be hosting a series of lunchtime discussions on the future of film at the 92YTribeca tomorrow through Thursday. Join him as he leads talks with filmmakers and online creatives including Paranormal Activity producer Jason Blum, Tumblr's David Karp, College Humor founder Ricky Van Veen, Andrew Weissman (partner at Union Square Ventures), and Elizabeth Holm, who heads the film program at Kickstarter. The entire series is free; no ticket required. Walk-ins welcome, but click here to RSVP and guarantee your seat.
