Spring has sprung … or at least it has in Tampa and Port St. Lucie. In mid-February the Yankees and Mets packed their bags, grabbed their gloves and reported to their respective spring training sights to prepare for an optimistic 2008 season. With the Mets being credited with one of the biggest debacles in baseball history, and Yankees starter Chien-Ming Wang's disappointing post-season appearances, one can only hope that last season is just a far and distant memory for the Yankees, the Mets and their fans. Outside the entrance to the Athletics Recreation Center, there is a wall dedicated to Baruch's Hall of Fame with plaques of past student-athletes who have broken records and have been at the forefront of their respective sports.
